Most performance shops send exhaust work down the road and wait. We own the shop that does it — cut, mandrel-bent and TIG-welded for your car, on your job ticket, on our timeline.
There is a point in every build where the catalog runs out. That's where this shop starts.
Designed around the sound you actually want — including what it does at 70mph, which is where most systems fail their owner.
Mandrel-bent, properly routed, with clearance thought through before the first weld rather than after.
Hot-side and cold-side piping, wastegate plumbing and the supports to keep it alive under heat cycling.
Engine and trans mounts, intercooler and radiator brackets, tabs and one-off pieces for swaps.
The odd jobs that keep a car legal and together — done by people who've been under one at a track.
In-house machining in support of engine builds, so nothing waits on an outside shop's queue.
When exhaust work goes out to a third party, you inherit their schedule, their mistakes and a finger-pointing problem when something doesn't fit. Roland Exhaust & Machining sits on the Apex campus at 3007A 10th Avenue.
That means fabrication, engine work and tuning happen on the same car, in the same week, with the same people answering for the result.
We build. Roland Exhaust & Machining is our own shop on the Apex campus, so the tubing is cut, bent and TIG-welded here for your car. We'll happily install a good off-the-shelf system too — but when nothing fits, we make it.
It depends on material, how much of the system you're replacing and how complicated the routing is. A cat-back is a different job from a turbo manifold. Tell us the car and what you want it to sound and flow like, and you get an itemized written estimate before anything is cut.
Stainless for most street cars — it lasts and it's worth the difference in north Alabama weather. Mild steel where it's getting coated or it's a budget build. Titanium when weight matters and the budget allows. We'll tell you honestly which one your build actually needs.
Both, and this is the part people get wrong. Volume, tone and drone are three different problems. Tell us what you want to hear at wide open throttle and — more importantly — what you don't want to hear at 70mph, and we design the system around that.
Yes. Turbo manifolds, downpipes, hot-side and cold-side piping, wastegate plumbing and the brackets to hold it all. This is the work most shops in the area send out; it's done in-house here.
That's the same shop and the same people. Engine and trans mounts, intercooler and radiator brackets, roll-bar tabs, race-car odds and ends — if it can be cut, bent and welded, ask.
We reply the same business day. Prefer to talk? Call 256-975-0012 — you'll get the shop, not a call center.
